On 25 May, Lecturers and Advisory Board of the Department of Mechanics of the Politecnico di Milano, 25 met for the first edition of the Alumni Mechanical Forum to discuss the relationship between the academic world and industrial reality.
On the stage of the Convention the Rector of the Politecnico di Milano, ing. Ferruccio Resta, among others, wanted our ing. Marco Fainello – Alumnus in turn and member of the Advisory Board of Mechanical Engineering- to discuss, together with colleagues from the Department, the future of traditional engineering in an increasingly digital world.
Mechanical engineering, intrinsically inclined towards innovation, has always been in symbiosis with the virtual world: the digitization of engineering processes, in fact, contributes and enriches the work cycle by simplifying the design and increasing communication between the various project managers.
Thanks to the work and sharing of experiences and skills of this large group of former students, that support to helping the University with an active role in technological development in Italy and in international contexts, representing our polytechnic excellence in the world.
