ADDFOR PTC WEC: SEARCHING FOR THE PERFECT TRACTION!

The World Endurance Championship (WEC), which has just concluded with the dominance of the Maranello team in both the constructors’ and drivers’ standings, is not just a challenge of speed: it is the ultimate testing ground for reliability, efficiency, and resource management.
In a context where Hypercars compete in races lasting 6, 8, or 24 hours and where asphalt conditions change drastically, traction management has become the fundamental element for victory.
Starting from this scenario, Addfor has developed and refined over the years, a specific traction control system for this type of vehicle and championship: PTC WEC, a traction system that utilizes trained estimators—including slip angle, grip, and speed—to increase the stability margin and improve the car’s performance.
The increase in the stability margin allows the driver to experience superior control and vehicle perception while managing controlled slip with surgical precision, leading to a significant improvement in performance.
